Our Thoughts
Our 2022 Paper Planes rosé is made of 100% Pinot Noir fruit from the Windsor Oaks vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Our rosé is always fresh, crisp, and lively, with exceptional texture not found in most rosés.
The aromatics on this wine are out of this world - freshly zested lemon, peach blossom and white flower. It's simultaneously super tart and fresh while also being really substantial and complex with a long finish.

Our Thoughts
The 2021 Paper Planes Pinot Noir comes from our longest-tenured vineyard, the stunning Windsor Oaks Property, nestled in the Chalk Hill region of the Russian River Valley. After harvesting from two distinct blocks on August 17th, we destemmed and hand sorted the majority of the fruit, leaving about 25% to ferment as whole clusters. The stems added a beautiful texture to this delicate and nuanced fruit.
After pressing, we allowed the pinot to complete ML, and aged the wine in neutral French Oak barrels for nine months, before bottling on May 25th, 2022. True to our style, this pinot focuses on balance, with beautiful aromatics of bright red fruits, lively acidity, and an overall charming and ethereal profile.

Our Thoughts
The 2022 Paper Planes Valdiguié comes from dry farmed, head trained vines on the Carty Ranch property in the Suisun Valley AVA. After harvesting on August 19th, we destemmed 50% of the fruit, leaving the other half intact as whole clusters, fermenting each as an individual lot. We fermented both lots with native yeasts, and kept up with gentle manual punchdowns. After a speedy 10-day ferment, we pressed the wine using a manual basket press. Who needs a gym? After aging in neutral French Oak barrels for 8 months, we blended in ~10% Grenache to really make this wine sing. Another two months in barrel so the blend could get cozy before bottling on August 9th, 2023. The result is an electric wine that reminds us of lasers, sour patch watermelon, and dancing with friends.

OUR THOUGHTS
The 2022 Paper Planes Nero d’Avola comes from the newly planted Clayton Vineyard in the Suisun Valley AVA. After harvesting on September 2nd, we destemmed 100% of the fruit, which we fermented with native yeasts. The fruit spent a leisurely 14 days going through a gentle primary fermentation. We achieved a delicate extraction of flavor and structure via daily pumpovers. After another week of extended maceration to smooth out this wine, we pressed off of the skins using a manual basket press.
After aging in neutral French Oak barrels for 8 months, we blended in ~10% Grenache to complement the beautiful acidity and structure of this wine.. Another two months in barrel so the blend could get cozy before bottling on August 9th, 2023. This wine has been a longtime dream of ours. We both have our roots on the island of Sicily, and the wines of that beautiful place speak to our souls. We love the balance of bright red fruit, brilliant acidity, and surprising complexity.
