The third vintage of Paper Planes might be our favorite yet. This wine is fresh, crisp and lively. Bright fruit flavors balance with tart citrus, making for the perfect sip. We love the aromas of white peach and wet stone that jump from the glass, along with the subtle hints of flower blossoms and grapefruit that lead to a refreshing finish. We fermented in just 9 neutral French oak barrels this year to bring out the elegant flavor of these amazing pinot noir grapes. You'll find us with a bottle of Paper Planes at dinner parties, cocktail hour, or in the park for a picnic.
Paper Planes Rosé is a blend of premium pinot noir from select hillside and valley floor vineyards across the Russian River Valley. The cool climate in this region of Sonoma County allows our grapes to ripen slowly and delicately to achieve excellent balance and bright crisp flavors. The 2016 growing season began with some much needed rain. Although 2016 was relatively cooler than 2015, a heat spike in August continued our early harvest trend, with beautifully developed fruit flavors and complex mouthfeel.
